On Father’s Day I was taking a few pictures for my blog but not feeling particularly inspired. I was also feeling a bit down for having missed a long run because of some ankle problems. At the same time, my mom was giving me a hard time for not making Father’s Day plans. Can’t you see I’m busy blogging woman?! Truth was, my dad had plans to go golfing but he wasn’t feeling well Sunday so he cancelled his game. I made him a cake and we made him dinner, so all was well in the end. I just started watching the second season of ‘The Walking Dead,’ and is it just me, or are the zombies now faster and smarter? The thing I don’t get about zombies is how they run so fast as undead when they probably weren’t runners when they were alive. I know, details. Personally, I don’t run very far on an empty stomach so I need to fuel up before heading out the door for a run.

Happy belated birthday to the Oreo cookie! Who knew that little cookie has been around for 100 years? Well I didn’t. At least not until I spotted a bag of birthday cake flavored Oreos in my grocery store. I normally don’t buy Oreos because I’d end up eating the entire bag in one sitting. But the golden bag with the picture of the Oreo and it’s cream filled center decorated with sprinkles just caught my eye. And I thought I’d be stupid not to, so I bought a bag.
